May 2012 Gallery Show

During the month of May and for the PhinneyWood ArtWalk, the Phinney Center Gallery will showcase the art of Enfu and Yachun Peng. These two artists explore fun and whimsical themes through their innovative works.

Yachun Peng - Mixed media
A short statement about my current work: my attempt at reimagine Haiku by classic Japanese masters. Mixing myths, everyday scenes, contemporary objects, and my interpretation of emotions behind the words, I find hidden stories to tell which become this series of illustrations.

PNA Arts Program Mission Statement

The purpose of the PNA Arts Program is to provide the community with a rich diversity of cultural experiences while supporting regional visual and performing artists. To achieve this goal, the program develops creative venues for artists to share their work in a neighborhood environment.

Preference is given to artists living in the Puget Sound area who are not affiliated with a commercial gallery.

The Phinney Center Gallery is funded in part by 4Culture (formerly the Cultural Developmental Authority of King County).

The Phinney Center Gallery is a partner in Take Part in Art.org. Click here to find other area arts event listed at the Take Part in Art.org website.

Artist's Statement
A samara is a seed with a wing, such as a maple seed. My goal as a sculptor is to create complex impressions using simple parts.
