About the Phinney Neighborhood Center

For nearly three decades, the Phinney Neighborhood Center has been home of the PNA and the cornerstone of Seattle’s Phinney/Greenwood neighborhood, offering diverse activties and programs to anyone in the Puget Sound region.

From the Phinney Ridge Kids! childcare program to the Friday Farmer’s Market, from salsa classes to a home repair series, from a soup kitchen and art gallery to a co-op preschool, the Center has an abundance of programs to meet the needs of the community. In addition, each year, more than 250 groups and organizations hold meetings, classes and events at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, attracting thousands of people from throughout the region.

For almost 100 years, the two buildings we now know as the Phinney Neighborhood Center have been a recognizable landmark in the Phinney-Greenwood area and contribute to the distinctive identity of the area. Formerly the John B. Allen Elementary School, the Center’s impact spans generations for many neighborhood families.

  • In addition to the programs offered by the PNA, more than 250 groups and organizations hold meetings, classes and events at the Center.
