HELP GIRLS LEAD LIVES OF COURAGE, CONFIDENCE AND CHARACTER: Volunteer for the Girl Scouts! Caring adults can make a difference for girls in their neighborhood; we are SO much more than cookies and camping! EMPLOYING TEENS AND SERVING THE COMMUINITY. The Teens in Public Service (TIPS) 2010 summer program invites teens ages 15 to 19 who are leaders in their high schools and are committed to service in their communities to apply. TRANSFORM LIVES THROUGH OUTDOOR RECREATION. Outdoors for All provides year-round programs and instruction for people with physical, sensory and developmental disabilities. Events include skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, cycling, rock climbing, hiking, day camps, and more. Volunteer opportunities can fit any skill level or time commitment. SUPPORT LIVE MUSIC at the Phinney Neighborhood Center while you enjoy a free concert. The Seattle Folklore Society needs volunteers to help with all areas of concert production from pre-concert publicity to setting up chairs, taking tickets, running sound and cleaning up. NOURISH YOUR NEIGHBORS. Volunteers of America Greenwood Food Bank serves over 3,000 individuals per month. Volunteers of America Senior Companion Program seeks local, dynamic and diverse community members of all ages for our Advisory Council Board. HELP ADULTS BUILD BASIC SKILLS. North Seattle Community College Adult Basic Education program needs compassionate and caring individuals to work with students in the English as a Second Language or Adult Basic Education classrooms under the direction of a classroom teacher. The Greenwood Space Travel Supply Company is one of the wackiest stores in the Phinney area and all our proceeds help fund 826 Seattle, a nonprofit writing center for earthlings ages 6-18.
