Learn How to Help Someone in a Mental or Emotional Crisis
The PNA is thrilled to offer two opportunities for Mental Health First Aid training and certification. This groundbreaking eight-hour training course gives people the tools to identify when someone might be struggling with a mental health or substance use problem and to connect them with appropriate support and resources when necessary.
Participants can sign up for a full day training on July 24 or as a two-part class on July 17 and 19. You can learn more about the two trainings here.
The training will be taught by longtime PNA employee and Ballard Preschool Co-Op Head Teacher Jan Collver. Jan learned about Mental Health First Aid through volunteering at Crisis Clinic and completed instructor certification in April. She is excited to bring this program to the PNA and our community.
