Dragon Room Summer Program
The Dragon Room Summer Program is a series of camps for
young children sponsored by the Phinney Neighborhood
Preschool Co-op (PNPC) and held in the PNPC's enchanted
Dragon Room at the Phinney Neighborhood Center.
Open to PNPC families and community members alike, the
Dragon Room Summer Program offers rich and diverse
classes for preschoolers and elementary aged children.
The classes are drop-off so do not require parental
involvement, but you are always welcome to stay for all
or part of the class to explore along with your child.
Founded in 1981, the PNPC is a cooperative preschool
dedicated to creating a supportive community of families
and encouraging the individual social, emotional,
physical and cognitive development of children through
creative play.
Camps this year vary in
time and number of days per week, ranging from one to
five days.

Kids love to be in the kitchen! Feeling the
food...creating yummy things to eat...just being a part
of the process. Let Jeanne McGrady help your little ones
explore their way through the kitchen. We will be
cooking breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and snacks (so
clearly no snacks from home are needed - we'll be eating
our own creations! Just bring your own water bottle).
Skills will also be learned while we cook: kitchen
safety, cracking and whisking eggs, slicing, stirring,
flipping, kneading, baking and of course EATING! We will
also be spending time just playing in the magical Dragon
Room! Come and join the Kids in the Kitchen! All campers
must be potty trained.
PLEASE NOTE: due to so many food allergies that
are "out there" (I even have my own!) - Kids in the
Kitchen summer camp will NOT be a food allergy
free camp (materials and planning are completed prior to
registration so I will have no way of knowing potential
allergies). I am happy to have kids with allergies in my
camp if they know what they can and cannot eat (and I am
aware of the allergy) and if handling foods that contain
something they cannot eat is okay.
