Phinney Farmers Market
Summer Fridays from 3-7 pm

The Phinney Farmers Market returns on Friday, June 1! Mark your calendars now and plan on spending summer Friday afternoons shopping for fresh, local food at the Phinney Neighborhood Center. We're looking for a few volunteers to support market operations this summer. Click here for more information.

Phinney Farmers Market: Juicy Berries, Crunchy Carrots Coming Soon!

Farmers Market season begins Friday, June 1, with a handful of new vendors and products alongside old favorites! Mark your calendars and start dreaming of sweet berries, crisp greens and creamy handmade ice cream. Be ready for unique varieties of produce, plenty of egg, and tantalizing new ready-to-eat options. Schuh Farms returns with over a dozen varieties of juicy berries, Willapa Hills with artisan sheep and cow cheeses, Tahoma Farms with perfect kale and carrots and Olsen Farms with flavorful grass-fed meat and gourmet potatoes. Many market offerings are unavailable anywhere else in the city and are brought to our neighborhood straight from the farm.

The Neighborhood Farmers Market Alliance (NFMA) is planning weekly music and fun events during the season, including a Glorious Greens extravaganza in July, an expanded Phinney Phruit Phestival in August and a Market Wide Sale Day in September. All events include free demos, tastings, children's activities, contests and recipes.

The Phinney Farmers Market will be open every Friday from 3-7 pm through Oct. 5. While the market will begin in the Phinney Center's upper parking lot, construction on the Blue Building may mean a return to the lower lot mid-season. Volunteers are needed to help out with weekly market operations and special events. For volunteer info, contact alis@phinneycenter.org. For market details, visit the NFMA website at www.seattlefarmersmarkets.org.

The PNA partners with the Neighborhood Farmers Market Alliance, a community-based non-profit which brings Washington State farmers into the city to sell their farm-fresh produce. Check out their Ripe 'n' Ready Report to see what you might expect to find each week. NFMA manages the vendors, entertainment, and non-profit participants at the market each week. The market accepts EBT (food stamps), WIC and Senior market coupons. Shoppers can also buy market gift certificates at the NFMA info tent! PNA farmers market t-shirts and sturdy, colorful canvas shopping bags are always available for sale at the front desk inside the Blue Building.

The Phinney Neighborhood Center is also a delivery site for a local CSA (community supported agriculture) farm. To participate, check with Full Circle Farms.
