    Girls empowerment program coming this spring – registration open

    The PNA is excited to partner with Girls on the Run is this spring to bring their program to the Phinney Center.  Girls on the Run is a girl empowerment program that teaches girls important life skills while creatively integrating running and walking. This program is 10-weeks long and is for 3rd-6th grade students that identify as female. It culminates in a celebratory, non-competitive 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk. Last summer, PNA hosted the Girls on the Run summer camp and we were impressed by the mission and the vision of the organization and the outcomes the program has shown for preteen girls.     Winter Clothing Drive at the Phinney Center

    Though this bout of snow has passed, it's still cold out! Help our unhoused neighbors keep warm. In partnership with Discovery Church, we're hosting a warm clothing drive at the Phinney Center through the end of February. Simply drop off new/pre-packaged socks, new/pre-packaged gloves, new/pre-packaged winter hats or new/lightly used coats and join us in serving our neighbors this winter. Thank you!...

    Are you a young artist? Know a young artist?  Starting today, all Pacific Northwest artists aged 25 and under are invited to apply to the Phinney Center Gallery's March show called Up and Coming Artists. Jurors from the local community will select art for the show to be displayed in the Gallery from Mar. 11-Apr. 17, with the opening reception on Friday, Mar. 13 during the PhinneyWood ArtWalk.     Snow on the way? PNA’s closure policy

    The forecast is calling for snow next week and we’re hoping it’s not a repeat of last year’s snowpocalypse! The PNA snow closure policy follows Seattle Public Schools . If schools are closed, so are the Phinney Center and Greenwood Center. If schools are on a late schedule, the centers will aim to open on time (though it’s a good idea to call first to make sure staff are in).
