Winter Wishes Gift Giving Program

Through 12/23. Winter Wishes (formerly known as The Giving Tree) is a wonderful way to help local children, families, and adults during the holidays. Simply sign up for a virtual “tag” on our website, purchase the $20-30 gift, and deliver it by the deadline.

Join us for this neighborhood tradition of finding and selling treasures! We will once again have our beloved Tool Sale, and have partnered with organizations to recycle items our neighbors no longer need. Volunteers needed to help sort, organize & sell tools, direct traffic, take photos & help attendees fill out their surveys.

Phinney-Greenwood Neighborhood

Rainbow-fy Phinneywood with chalk, tie-dye and smiles! Color the sidewalks along Phinney and Greenwood Aves to help celebrate our annual Rainbow Hop celebration (decorate the afternoon/evening of Friday, June 3rd for the event on Saturday, June 4th). We’ll provide some materials (read: chalk!) and the area to cover. Great (outdoor) opportunity for families.

Help the PNA Village celebrate ten years of helping seniors age at home, woo hoo! Volunteers needed at the event (must be 21+) and to bake beautiful and tasty cakes and pies (baking open to all ages).

Get into the game by volunteering at the PNA Summer Beer Taste, Beercraft! Volunteer jobs include Set Up, Security (monitor exits), and Food/Beverage (replenish food platters, keep tables tidy, and assist vendors). Volunteers get free admission and beer!

The PNA Hot Meal Program provides hundreds of delicious and nourishing meals each week to anyone who needs them. It also offers a community closet and resources, and partners with other organizations to provide free dental and medical services. Volunteers are needed to help prepare, set up, serve and clean up meals for people in need. Monday dinner shifts are 2 to 5 pm and 4 to 7 pm at the Greenwood Senior Center. Volunteer: Tool Librarian

Phinney Center 6532 Phinney Ave N, Seattle, WA

Our Tool Library is open Fridays from 3 to 5 pm (volunteer shifts: 2:45-5:15 pm) and Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm (volunteer shifts: 8:30 am-12:30 pm). Volunteers will check membership status, check tools out and in, and collect donations. Some experience with tools helpful, but not required. Volunteer Tool Librarians may be eligible for free tool rentals!
