Cheers to everyone who voted in the PhinneyWood 2020 Holiday Lights Contest. The voting has now closed, and here are your favorites. There were more than 35 total displays nominated, and the map will stay up through the first week of January, so if you haven’t yet, be sure to check them out!
Best display at a business: R&R studios (7407 Greenwood Ave N). This display features delightful handmade paper chain curtains, ala the movie Elf. As one voter said, it “can be seen from the street driving or bicycling it’s so bright and cheery! They did a great job!”
Best in Show: (531 84th St) – Do not miss this delightful display, designed by neighbor Robert DeLuca who went on to choreograph the GloCone at the Phinney Center Air Raid Siren tower. Kids of all ages will be tickled to text “Santa” to start the lights and music show on-demand, with a total of 5 songs on rotation. Check out Robert’s recent post here. Kudos!
The “More is More” award: (6819 Phinney Ave N) – This one has it all! Flamingos, Santa on a jet ski, a unicorn and so much more! Your eyes will thank you. If you’re craving your holidays with a side of sunscreen and a tropical vibe, this one’s for you.
Honorary mention goes to the display of vintage blow mold Santas at 6554 2nd Ave. Could we love this fake plastic SantaCon more?
