STEM- Specific College Application / Admissions Seminar
Thursday, March 24, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pmFree
Do you know a teen who wants to pursue STEM in college? Many students pursue STEM majors in college for the wrong reasons and are often unaware of the specific skills and experiences to cultivate in order to be competitive for college admission, internships, and jobs in these areas. Join Dr. Mark Hofer for an introductory talk on the STEM college application and admissions process. This seminar is most helpful for parents of freshmen and sophomores, but families of juniors will find it useful, too.
No RSVP necessary. Questions? Email [email protected]
Dr. Hofer received a doctorate in education and a master’s degree in teaching from Seattle University. He is a graduate of UC Irvine’s College Counseling program and is one of only four Certified Educational Planners (CEP) in Washington state. For the past ten years, he has been the college admissions advisor and taught leadership for the Bezos Family Foundation in Seattle. With other degrees in the sciences, Mark has also worked in psychology, physiology, biology, chemistry, physics, and aerospace research labs and has taught high school science and psychology.
Location: Phinney Center Blue Building, Room 3
