Stories from our Deep Past: Ice Age Imagery and Mystery
Wednesday December 15, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Tens of thousands of years ago our ancestors made art, just like we do. Most of it has turned to dust, but some examples survive because they were hidden deep underground. Presenter Scott Wittet will share some of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring artifacts yet found, and will discuss what we know about who made them and why they did. He’ll also offer intriguing examples of motifs—stories—that seem to have survived through to the present day.
After thirty years collaborating with health agencies in Africa and Asia, Mr. Wittet currently indulges his lifetime passion for prehistory, and prehistoric art, full time. RSVP: 206.297.0875.
