The Elderwise Way: Book Talk and Discussion
Wednesday December 2, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pmFree
Join us for this reading and discussion exploring The Elderwise Way: A Different Approach to Life with Dementia. In this new book, the underpinnings of the Elderwise philosophy are explained, along with its practical implications for those providing care for loved ones with dementia. Capturing more than two decades of learning and practices from Sandy Sabersky’s groundbreaking work with cognitive loss, this book accessibly shares the principles and approaches of this unique Seattle-based enrichment program. Along with her editorial and writing skills, co-author Ruth Neuwald Falcon brought her personal and professional experiences with dementia to enrich the book’s development. Together, they hope to inspire change in how our society understands and works with people living with dementia and their caregivers. During this time of the Covid pandemic, the book is doubly relevant to the memory loss community. Register: [email protected].
