Period Product Drive
3/1-3/31. Menstrual products are expensive! The PNA is partnering with Seattle T2P2, along with a new neighborhood initiative Community Works!, to collect menstrual products for students, people experiencing homelessness, and low-income households. Help out by dropping off tampons, pads, and/or liners to the Phinney Center Blue Building during the month of March, Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm.
Local author Lyn Coffin will join us to read from and discuss her new book, The Aftermath.
Tues, 3/16. On March 16, 2021, the GSC will have been closed for a whole year. Join us online to mark the occasion, with a look back and a look forward. We will also be asking people to tie a green ribbon this week on the senior center railings or on their own fence or front door.
What would St Patrick's Day be without a real Irish-American speaker named Patrick? Expect an hour with bits of immigrant family history, the source of St. Patrick's Day parades and, perhaps, a wee bit of Blarney.
Hey, middle schoolers (or middle schoolers at heart)! Wanna build a rocket and talk about space exploration with fellow rocketry enthusiasts? High school seniors Henry and Aidan will talk about the parts of a rocket and build it with you via Zoom. Distanced group launch at a local park.
Virtually meet the teachers and learn how we are engaging body, mind, and spirit through online class meetings that include art, yoga, science, and reading and math literacy. Kids welcome!
