Why Mars?

Come hear the history of the exploration of Mars from the Mariners of the 1960s to the current Perseverance rover. Learn how the planet lost the atmosphere and became the dusty ball of today. What does the future hold for human exploration?

Linda Peterson worked as an R.N. for 24 years and then spent 20 years teaching science and social studies to middle school students before retiring. Her passion for aviation and space led her to develop science curriculum that included robotics. She presently serves as a docent at the Museum of Flight and is a NASA education ambassador.
