Women in Aviation and Space

Come and learn about the women who were pioneers in the early days of flight. From pilots to cabin attendants and barnstormers to the WASPs. Learn about the first women in space and how women have contributed to the space program.
Linda Peterson worked as an R.N. for 24 years and then spent 20 years teaching science and social studies to middle school students before retiring. Her passion for aviation and space led her to develop science curriculum that included robotics. She presently serves as a docent at the Museum of Flight and is a NASA education ambassador.
