Andrea Krajeski is a Northwest native with an eye for interior design. Since she was a teenager, she’s enjoyed outfitting rooms, repainting walls, and repurposing old furniture she’d find in thrift stores or on the side of the road. Now she’s ready to take this passion to the next level.
Andrea has a Business Marketing Degree from Western Washington University and previously worked a 9 to 5 job as an inventory planner.
“This past year has been personally challenging,” says Andrea. It made her stop to re-evaluate her priorities. Andrea really wanted to pursue a career in design and actually started her business venture back in 2018.
Copper Boom Design, LLC was formed after she completed a major renovation to her 1925 Craftsman home. Andrea explains, “I was excited about the whole remodeling process and got a hands-on education by managing the project myself.”
Taking the leap into business ownership is a big risk, but Andrea is confident in her decision: “This time has reaffirmed that it is the best decision I could have made. Being a one-person show and working out of my own home has had its advantages. There have been many Zoom meetings, but you’d be surprised how much productive work can be done remotely.”
Andrea has also gone back to school to get formal training at Heritage School of Interior Design in Georgetown. She plans to keep learning as she sees education in this field as continuous and essential.
Andrea is a very hands-on designer and works closely with her clients every step of the way, saving on time and money because there is less back-tracking and rework. She’s looking forward to working with her neighbors and getting to know them. Andrea says, “I consider myself very lucky to be able to do what I love.” For more information, visit her website at copperboomdesign.com.
