PNA Wins National Photo Contest for Dementia Friendly America
We are thrilled to have our entry chosen as the Grand Prize winner in Dementia Friendly America’s national photo contest. It’s an honor to take part in this important project, bringing awareness to dementia-friendly programs across the country!
The picture is featured on the homepage banner of Dementia Friendly America’s website and also posted on their Twitter feed (see below).
This photo is part of a documentary project by our Gathering Place group called “What Want the World to Know,” which previewed for an audience of about 100 at the Greenwood Senior Center last November and will be releasing soon.
Thank you to Jim L. Carey for capturing the wonderful image, everyone who put in many hours on the project, and especially to all our participants who shared their lives and stories.
Stay tuned for upcoming screenings of this inspiring film.
They say a #picture is worth a thousand words, but the winner of our #PhotoContest only needed seven to inspire #hope. @PNA_Updates #GrandPrizeWinner #MemoryGuardians #DementiaFriendlyAmerica pic.twitter.com/1jiDoSVN4X
