In this two-part workshop we will use acrylic paints to paint plants and flowers from observation. Plants are wonderful subjects because while their beauty inspires, the organic nature of their forms is also forgiving. The focus in this workshop will not be realism so much as cultivating observation skills while encouraging looseness and creative interpretation. I will touch on technical aspects of painting such as color mixing and color theory, and will be available to instruct on observational drawing skills as desired.
