PNA seeks an Executive Director
The PNA is excited to announce we’ve begun a search for our next Executive Director.
Do you know someone with the vision, passion, and character to be our next leader? The PNA has been a cornerstone of North Seattle over the past 40 years, and this is a wonderful opportunity for a community-oriented, dynamic, and agile leader to guide this organization into the future.
Working closely with the PNA Board of Directors, the Executive Director sets the strategic direction for the organization, oversees all staff and programs, and generates support for its growth.
PNA’s mission is to build, engage, and support our diverse community through programs, services, and activities that connect neighbors and foster civic engagement. Headquartered in a historic former elementary school, the PNA has developed over the last 40 years into an active community-focused 501(c)(3) organization that not only serves as a community hub for Northwest Seattle, but also offers programs and activities that reach far beyond the immediate neighborhoods. The PNA serves over 27,000 people each year and has 60 staff members, 1,500 volunteers, and had an annual budget of $2.5 million.
The ideal candidate should have at least five years of nonprofit leadership experience; financial acumen to manage a $2.5M annual budget; demonstrated success in implementing fundraising strategies; ability to develop and maintain a diverse and motivated staff; and highly effective communications skills. The candidate should be prepared to steer the organization through significant challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. The ED will build and model a culture of equity and inclusion in the organization and community, and lead the PNA in its continued work toward being an anti-racist organization.
