PNPC : Parent Education
PNPC offers a Parent Education component in collaboration with North Seattle College, which provides parents information on many common early parenting topics, such as:
- Language development
- Early learning
Parent Educators lend an understanding ear to parents, providing resources, sharing the latest child development research, and encouraging parents to share their views and learn from one another.
At PNPC, both children and parents benefit:
Children learn in a developmentally appropriate classroom, and parents learn about young children and also share their experiences in discussion groups.
Parents attend sessions on a wide range of parenting topics. This way, parents get both the informational background and the real-time experience of early childhood education and development.
Parent educators lead monthly discussions on topics that are relevant to participating families. Throughout the year, parents give input on what areas they would like to learn about and discuss.
Parent Education at PNCP aims to provide a supportive, accepting, and educational component for all families in the program.
