The PhinneyWood Pride Rainbow Hop celebration honored Pride Month on June 4 with engaging all-ages activities promoting inclusiveness. Forty community partners hosted booths throughout the neighborhood and hundreds of kids enjoyed the event. The PNA booth hosted an interactive art activity celebrating family and our PNA Village brought music, colorful “magic” wands, and intergenerational joy. Our Small Business Advocate Chris Maykut enjoyed meeting over 100 kids as they exchanged their Hop maps for zoo tickets and shared that, “nearly everyone went out of their way to express how much fun they had and how meaningful the action of creating this annual event is to them. The businesses and organizations brought incredibly imaginative and delightful activities that helped bring home the message that our community is safe, inclusive, and committed to equity.”
Belonging and inclusivity are core PNA values and we believe that Rainbow Hop embodies these ideals as a safe space where everyone is celebrated. Thank you to all of our community partners and the families and kids who made Rainbow Hop 2022 a Pride celebration to remember!
