Are you on the Tidying Up train too? Well, before you haul those bags to Goodwill, consider a few upcoming opportunities we have for you to re-home your kids’ gear and your books!

Kids’ clothes & gear

The much-loved Gently Used Kids’ Gear sales organized by our preschool co-ops are around the corner: Ballard Preschool Co-op’s is March 30, and Phinney Neighborhood Preschool Co-op’s is April 20.

The sales feature quality, gently used clothes (newborn-size 8), shoes, toys and gear – including pack and plays, cribs, car seats,  sports gear, furniture, strollers, maternity wear and more!

You can either donate to the Ballard Preschool Co-op sale, or make a little extra cash and be a seller! Anyone can sell; you don’t have to be a preschool family. To sell or donate, email [email protected].

Proceeds from the Gently Used Kids’ Gear Sales help support our preschool co-ops, including scholarships for families who need them.

Books

Got books that have once brought you joy (or maybe not!), but you are ready to let go of? March 2  is our bi-annual Book Exchange.

The swap includes five genres: mystery, sci-fi, fantasy, kids’, and cookbooks.

Here’s how it works: Bring in gently used books  (only the genres listed above, please). We’ll give you one ticket for each paperback and two tickets for each hardback.  Use your tickets to “buy” more books: paperbacks cost one ticket, hardbacks cost two. (Don’t have books to exchange or want to buy more than you brought in? Purchase paperbacks for $1 and hardbacks for $2.).

Have books for the Exchange, but don’t need to add to your collection or can’t make the event? Contact Polly to arrange drop off.
