About

I consider myself to be mostly a mixed media artist. By combining the use wax and oil paints, I am able to create a thick matte like quality to my paintings. I first compose my images on wood panels using graphite and charcoal, I then take the wax and oil paint mixture and apply it to the panels. In much of work I like to create light, humorous, surreal narratives. I also express in many my paintings a strong interest in the natural world.

I studied painting, drawing, sculpting, printmaking and computer graphics at Laney College in Oakland, Ca. I also received a BA in art history and in the philosophy of art at Clark University in Worcester, Ma. I have been selling my work at art festivals throughout the Pacific Northwest, as well as selling my art and my products at art galleries and gift stores throughout the country for the last 25 years.
