Winter Festival 2011

This year's event will feature 115 artists and craftspeople, hundreds of musicians and dancers, a quilt raffle, bake sale and lunch items. The fair is open on both days from 10 am-5 pm and the price of admission ($4 for adults, $2 for members, and a can of food - children 12 and under are free) supports PNA programs such as the PNA Hot Meal Program (formerly known as the PNA Soup Kitchen), before and after school childcare, the Greenwood Senior Center, the tool library and the art gallery as well as community projects for neighbors in need and the Greenwood Food Bank.

While you're at the Festival be sure to check out Lauri Serafin's potholders, made of recycled socks. All of the proceeds of the potholder sales will go to the Capital Campaign. (Thank you, Lauri, for more than 250 hours of work on behalf of the Campaign.)

WE NEED YOUR BAKED GOODS!
Don't forget part of the fund-raising comes from your baked goods. Just bring your cookies, bars, brownies, pies, tarts etc. to the Phinney Center anytime between 9 and 9 Friday the 2nd or during the event on Saturday. We'd like to have a card telling what the item is, especially listing any possible allergy ingredients. Items sell best if they're individually packaged in baggies, but it's okay to bring them on a paper plate or in a box. The bake sale has raised as much as $2,000 in the past but we need your mad baking skills to make it happen!.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Help us put this amazing event together! We still have several volunteer opportunities available. If you're interested in volunteering, click on the Volunteer button below or e-mail alis@phinneycenter.org.

GIVING TREE
Look for our Giving Tree at the Phinney Neighborhood Center and our holiday giving display at the Greenwood Senior Center. Each is adorned with holiday gift requests from children and adults in need of a holiday boost. The donations will benefit people served by Dorothy Day House, FamilyWorks Food Bank, Broadview Emergency Shelter, Childhaven Therapeutic Childcare Program, Greenwood Food Bank, and Whitman Middle School. Donations are due back by December 9 this year.
