Let’s talk about how to responsibly recycle used, broken, or unneeded electronics (TVs, computers, cords, etc.) so they don’t end up in the landfill. Learn why these items should not be thrown away, touching on environmental impact and data risks. Our electronic devices hold everything from photos to sensitive personal information; we will discuss the importance of making sure that data is securely destroyed. PCs for People is a local nonprofit that provides secure e-waste recycling and refurbishment, working to get electronics out of the landfill while providing low-income folks with low-cost devices. Only phones, tablets, desktop & laptop computers, monitors, keyboards, cameras, TVs, printers, mice, and CD/DVD players will be accepted for pick up after this talk.
