Instructor Larry Spangler will help you build strength, balance, and agility with the centuries-old practices of Tai Chi and Qigong.
We will be practicing mindfulness, relaxation, and self-awareness using active listening, guided imagery, and progressive muscle relaxation. No prior musical experience is required to join the class, and the only instrument you will need to bring is your own voice.
With Yoga, force and gravity strengthen bones, while movement stimulates renewal of joints.

Strength and balance training for standing and in-motion stability.
This course is presented as a challenging dance rhythms review - tunes where clapping along is about as challenging as dancing, and a great exercise for your brain. Since over half of the hour will be listening to dance music, you can get on your feet or wiggle in your chair to make it a physical exercise course too.
Tailored for active older adults, who want to focus on muscle conditioning and light weight activity, Zumba Gold Toning blends low-intensity strength training with a fun party atmosphere.
Zumba Gold is a dance party that is designed to meet the needs of seniors and those new to working out. It has many health benefits, is easy to follow and is low impact. Drop-ins and adults of all ages welcome.

Wed, 5/4 - 6/1. Try out some simple movement exercises that invigorate the body and the imagination. This is a “dance” class for non-dancers and dancers alike!” Classes bring folks together across generations, inviting seniors in our community to connect with youth at Whittier Kids. Concepts will borrow from locally and internationally-renowned legend Anne Green Gilbert’s “Brain Dance.” In-person, outdoor, masked, and socially distanced. Vaccinations are required for all adult participants.
