Named after one of mythology’s most misunderstood figures, the Medusa Quartet channels the power of transformation, reclaiming what was once feared and turning it into something fiercely magical. Saskia Tomkins – Violin, Viola, Cello, Nyckelharpa; Marta Solek – Suka, Plock Fiddle, Cello; Lea Kirstein – Violin, Viola, Cello; Georgia Hathaway – Violin, Vocals – A genre-defying chamber-folk quartet that fuses centuries-old string traditions with contemporary storytelling and original compositions.  Medusa’s dynamic arrangement style cross-pollinates the sounds of Middle Eastern, Scandinavian, Celtic, Appalachian, and Eastern European music, as well as original tunes, to create something previously unheard. The dynamic band connects audiences across dividing lines of culture and identity to reveal the common threads beneath. Join us for a very special concert!

Doors open at 6:30 pm for the 7:00 pm concert in the Phinney Center’s Community Hall (lower Brick Building).

Tickets are available in advance online, in-person at prior SFS concerts, or at the door.
