SFS presents an evening of music from 4 accomplished local songwriters!
Kristin Chambers’ warm, soulful style blends jazz, pop, and folk influences into a captivating sound. With a background in classical voice and a natural talent for crafting compelling narratives, her music has found its way to stages and screens, with placements on shows like “Better Call Saul,” “The Young and the Restless,” and “Love is Blind.” Her latest release, “Kristin Chambers Select Songs Vol. 1,” is a curated journey through her musical evolution as a songwriter thus far.
Karen Laura Peters is a singing cellist with a collaborative nature and a gift for sharing her heart. While training at Oberlin Conservatory, she fell in love with folk music and began writing her own songs, joining a band (Her Treehouse) that was featured in NPR’s All Songs Considered blog in 2019. Peters is presently a member of the indie-soul band Queen of Hearts and co-founder of Momentum, an organization that helps musicians feel inspired, connected, and empowered on their music journey.
Allison Preisinger is a Berklee College of Music graduate known for evocative, Americana-infused sounds and unique collaborations like her recent work on a project with the National Park Service. 2025 saw the release of her fourth album, “Standing Steady,” blending original music with poetry from a number of sources. A multi-instrumentalist with a passion for connection, Preisinger uses art to uplift and share the beauty and complexity of human experience.
Fae Wiedenhoeft is an award-winning songwriter and classically trained vocalist who was hired to play Celtic music in Canada at age 23 and has been a professional musician ever since. She tours regularly and has played in 10 countries solo and with her band, SeaStar. Wiedenhoeft has recorded over two dozen albums and teaches voice, guitar, ukulele, and songwriting. SeaStar’s latest album, released in 2025, is called “The In Between.”
