Learn new techniques, explore different mediums, and walk away with your own masterpiece. Don’t miss this chance to learn from local artists and expand your creative skills (kids and adults alike).

We are offering one drop-in class –  the PNA Woodshop Mini Maker’s Garden Box Workshop. For other classes, advance booking is required due to limited availability, so secure your tickets early to avoid missing out!

Workshops

Explore Indigo Dyeing

Teaching Artist: Melissa from MCreativeJ
Class Time: 11:30am – 12:30pm
Fee: $30
Age Range: 12+

About the Workshop: Discover the magic of indigo dyeing. Learn folding and binding techniques to create beautiful patterns as you watch the dye transform. You’ll get two cotton tea towels to dye and may bring extra natural fiber items (like cotton, linen, silk, or wool) no larger than 3ft x 3ft. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy!

Epoxy Resin Art Class: Create an Ocean Inspired Serving Tray

About the Workshop: In this fun and engaging class, you’ll learn how to use epoxy resin to make beautiful, ocean-themed serving trays and get a chance to create a matching coaster with your extra resin. Jen will guide you in mixing resin, blending colors, and designing your tray and coaster to capture the essence of the sea. 

Textured Trinket Dishes

About the Workshop: Using wooden molds, you’ll design and shape 1–2 small decorative plates, perfect for holding rings, jewelry, or tasty treats. Add texture and personality with stamps and tools as you create functional little works of art.

Custom Garden Sticks

About the Workshop: Create four personalized ceramic garden or planter markers using clay, stamps, and texture tools. A fun, hands-on way to replace plastic tags before the fall harvest! All materials provided—no experience needed.

Family Friendly Improv Workshop

Teaching Organization: Taproot Theatre Company
Class Time: 1 – 2pm
Fee: $10
Age Range: Open to all! Children under 12 must be accompanied by a guardian/participant who is 16+

About the Workshop: Explore the creativity, spontaneity and fun of improv in a bite-sized experience! Say Yes, and! to a quick lesson in the basics of improv that leads to collaborative games, story-telling and scene creation in a hilarious and supportive community atmosphere. Fundamentals of improv including games, techniques, and fun!

Wild Flowers Wild Ink Family Workshop

Teaching Organization: Isabelle Robertson, Piano Nobile
Class Times: 12 – 1pm (Ages 6-12) & 3 – 4pm (Ages 13+)

About the Workshop: Join us for a wild drawing workshop! Learn to draw a variety of flowers and plant life using very special ink made just for us with flowers from Bumblebee Farm! Together we will make a guided drawing from real flowers, then let our imaginations take the lead as we create beautiful botanical drawings and paintings to take home.

Parent & Me Portraits! Graphite + Watercolor

About the Workshop: Learn the art of portrait drawing in this step-by-step class! We’ll explore how to use shadows and highlights to bring a face to life—whether it’s your parent, child, or a favorite pal. You’ll learn about perspective, proportions, stylistic choices, and how to capture someone’s unique likeness. We’ll begin by sketching our portraits in graphite, then bring them to life with watercolor.

About the Workshop: Join us for a fun, hands-on block printing workshop with local artist Nicole Piggott, inspired by her public artwork on a neighborhood signal box. Use hand-carved blocks featuring a mermaid, cherry blossoms, and whimsical PNW creatures to print on paper, a provided canvas bag, or your own fabric item. All ages welcome—no experience needed, just bring your creativity!
