Be part of our neighborhood’s holiday tradition: PhinneyWood Winter Lights!
We are excited to welcome back the stars of the PhinneyWood Winter Lights—the PNAnimals! These whimsical, illuminated animal figures represent the diverse wildlife of the Pacific Northwest and each embodies a unique trait that reflects our community’s values, from the playful Otter to the communicative Wolf. During the holiday season, local businesses in PhinneyWood “adopt” these animals, lighting up our streets and celebrating the connection between our wildlife and neighborhood culture.

Holiday Lights Info & Care
Here are some important details:
- Indoor Use Only: The LEDs on these animals are not waterproof, so please install indoors.
- Handle with Care: The LED strips can catch on objects and tear, so be cautious when handling.
- Installation: Use cords or zip ties through the drilled holes at the top of the frame for secure hanging. Suction cups are included for additional options.
- Power Supply: Each animal requires two plugs. You’ll need two extension cords or a multi-outlet cord for setup.
- LED Controller: The controller offers multiple options—choose your favorite! We recommend avoiding quick flashes for safety.
- Troubleshooting: If the LED strips stop working, check that the controller is firmly connected and the red and black arrows align.

How do we pronounce PNAnimals?
PNAnimals is pronounced like “pin-animals” – it’s a blend of “Phinney” and “animals,” a nod to the rich wildlife of the Pacific Northwest. So, just think of the word “pin” followed by “animals,” and you’ve got it!
This program is organized by Chris Maykut, Small Business Advocate at the PNA. For any inquiries, please contact Chris at chrism@phinneycenter.org.
