Directions

Directions to the Phinney Center

The Phinney Center consists of two buildings: the Blue Building (the upper building) and the Brick Building (the lower building). Both have elevators and are ADA accessible. There is a parking lot for each building and an outdoor staircase that joins the two lots. The two parking lot entrances are on 67th Ave N.

The Blue Building

The Blue Building is on Phinney Ave. The elevator is located on the parking lot level, to the east of the staircase.

The Brick Building

The Brick Building’s street address is 6615 Dayton Ave. N. However, it is best accessed from the “lower parking lot”–the second parking lot entrance if you are going east (down the hill) on 67th. The elevator can be accessed from both entrances. The Tool Library entrance is on Dayton Ave.

Walk

View the Seattle walking map online to see street grades, outdoor staircases, walking times for a variety of routes, and walking attractions.

Bike

Phinney Avenue to the south and Greenwood Avenue to the north have marked bike lanes and a signed route along the Interurban Trail, which connects to the Burke-Gilman Trail. Please use caution when approaching from the north on Greenwood Avenue because there is low visibility around the curve; it may be safest to dismount and use the crosswalk. If you are coming from the east or the west, expect steep hills.

Covered bike parking is located on the ramp near the front entrance to the Blue Building, which includes a repair station. Other racks are located along Phinney Avenue in the planting strip, on the east side of the upper parking lot, and in the parking lot near the entrance to the Brick Building.

Resources: View the Seattle Bike Map online or try Ride the City or Google Maps for point-to-point directions.

Transit

Metro route 5 local and express buses travel on Phinney Avenue and stop in front of the Phinney Center at the corner of 67th and Phinney. When you see North 65th Street on the northbound bus, you’re getting close. When you see North 70th Street on the southbound bus, you’re getting close.

Resources: Use Metro Trip Planner to plan your transit route. Get real-time arrival information online or on your phone with One Bus Away. The PNA has schedules for nearby Metro routes in the Blue Building lobby.
