Phinney Neighborhood Preschool Co-op Summer Camp

About PNPC’s Summer Camp

We’re hosting multiple sessions of camp this summer for preschoolers ages 2 to 5 in our beautiful Dragon Room classroom located in the Phinney Center.  Each session is two weeks with fun themes including gardening, mindfulness, insects, space, water, and more!

This is a co-op style camp involving a caregiver to work one day per week, per child and attend an orientation. If you have more than two children enrolled you will be an in class caregiver twice per week. Learn more details about the working parent/caregiver’s role in our school handbook.

Each session is two weeks long.

Summer Camp Teacher

Hi! My name is Christine Miller. I found my passion for Early Childhood Education (ECE) when I enrolled my daughter at Ballard Preschool Co-op. She started in the Infants class and we grew and learned together all the way through the 3-5s class. When my second daughter was born, I enrolled her at the co-op too! When they both had graduated to elementary, I decided it was time to explore my next steps in ECE, and received my BAS in Early Childhood Education from North Seattle College in Spring 2021. I am so thankful to be an educator at Ballard Preschool Co-op, where I’ve found community, connection, and joy! It will be fun to bring that passion to the PNPC summer camps! My goal is to provide a safe and welcoming space where children can comfortably explore, grow and connect with others and the environment surrounding them. In my free time, I love to draw with my daughters, go on walks, read, go to coffee shops, try out new recipes, eat my favorite foods, and spend quality time with family and friends!

Tuition is set on a sliding scale. You will have the option to choose what you pay at the time of registration. The minimum amount of $210 is billed and due at the time of registration. If you choose an amount higher than the minimum on the registration paperwork then the left over amount will be due before the first day of the session.

Tuition Assistance

PNPC will offer partial-tuition scholarships to registered families that need and/or desire financial assistance. To request tuition assistance send an email to moc.l1722056107iamg@1722056107rerus1722056107aert.1722056107cpnp1722056107. Background checks: All non current PNPC families that are in class working caregivers must submit a background check at least two weeks before the start of the summer camp session.

Siblings

Infants under six months are welcome in the classroom as long as their presence is not disruptive. Older siblings of PNPC families will be allowed to stay in class for a fee of $10 on their caregivers work day only.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy

To receive a partial refund of tuition, parents must provide written notice of withdrawal from any session at least 3 weeks prior to the start of that session. No tuition refunds will be given if withdrawal occurs within 3 weeks of the start date of a session. In all cases, $35 per child, per session is non-refundable.

Waitlists

If a session is full at the time of registration, you may add your child to a waitlist. Openings can occur at any time up to the start of the session date. If an opening occurs, we will notify you via phone or email.

Potty Policy

Your child does not need to be potty trained to join summer camp.  Bring a change of clothing. This is good if any accidents happen. If your child needs help in the bathroom/changed they will not be alone in the bathroom at any time with an adult. We require two adults to have supervision if it is not your own child for safety reasons.

PNPC Events

PNPC hosts two annual kids’ used-gear sales! Mark your calendars and stay tuned for the upcoming sale dates.
