Summer PNAnimals are Here!
Created to honor our proximity to and partnership with the Woodland Park Zoo, the PNAnimals (Puh-Nanimals) were chosen by the community to reflect both the spirit of the Northwest and the values of the PNA. Over time, these characters—Orca, Otter, Crow, Squirrel, Bear, and Wolf—have become the unofficial mascots of the PNA.

About the Artwork
This artwork was created by Andy Seagar of Factory43 for the signal box located by the crosswalk, outside the Blue Building at the Phinney Center. Designed as a tribute to the PNA, each character in the illustration represents one of the many programs and services offered by the PNA—from senior activities and kids’ programs to community events and DIY workshops. It’s a playful and vibrant celebration of the neighborhood’s spirit and the people who make it thrive.
About the PNAnimal Lights
PNAnimals (Puh-Nanimals) are PhinneyWood’s famously whimsical, illuminated animal figures that parade along our vibrant business district during the dark winter months.
Local businesses in PhinneyWood “adopt” these animals, lighting up our streets and celebrating the connection between our wildlife and neighborhood culture. Each business that displays their PNAnimal also displays their support for PNA’s essential community programs and services, and their own commitment to a healthy connected community.
PNAnimals light the way to a vibrant and welcoming place we all want to live, work, and play!
