Sat, 6/4. Each year we kick off Pride Month and celebrate Phinney-Greenwood’s commitment to inclusivity and equity with this family-friendly LGBTQIA celebration! There will be fun activities for all ages at businesses throughout the neighborhood.
Join us for a presentation on the roots and present realities of the relationship between Russia and Ukraine. Benjamin Tromly teaches courses in modern European history at the University of Puget Sound, with an emphasis on the 20th century. His teaching interests include Russian and East European History, totalitarianism, the Cold War, European intellectual history, collective memory, and European nationalisms.
GSC yoga teacher, D'vorah Kost, spent three weeks in Poland volunteering with Ukrainian refugees. Join us as she shares slides and her first-hand experience with the human side of this ongoing crisis.

Learn organic and sustainable gardening practices, landscape and plant design, while helping in and stewarding Phinney Center's gardens. All skill levels, ages, and levels of physical ability are welcome!
Sat, 6/18. Love art and all things handmade? Come out and visit pop-up galleries and boutiques in neighborhood yards! Using a map as your guide, find art, jewelry, photography, cards, clothing, accessories, textiles, pottery, and more. (Don’t miss the booths at the Phinney Center lower parking lot as well!)
Sun, 6/19. Enjoy a guided ride of a historic Seattle bike path on its 125th anniversary with Puget Sound bike guidebook author Bill Thorness! This afternoon tour, on city streets and bike trails, will loop through central Seattle, visiting many parks, sights and attractions. You will ride the original path, still not open to cars, and enjoy many of Bill's stories. All proceeds from ticket sales are donated to the PNA!
Washington’s history can be segmented into six epochs. In each, different people came here, and for different reasons, exploiting different modes of transportation as new technologies of movement made easier the American quest to conquer time and distance. The story of one pioneer family illustrates the process into the 20th century.
Fri, 6/24 & Sat, 6/25. Mirror Stage presents free arts experiences exploring incarceration and redemption. On Fri, June 24, enjoy a local art exhibit followed by an all-ages open mic Poetry Slam hosted by spoken word artist Miz Floes. Author, speaker, and community organizer Omari Amili will join us on Sat, June 25 to share his story, discuss mass incarceration, and explore how society benefits when people pursue higher education after incarceration.
