Marc Freedman with Eric Liu: How to Live Forever
Monday December 10, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm$5
With so many people living so much longer, what is the meaning of the increasing years beyond 50? How can a society with more older people than younger ones thrive? How do we find happiness when we know life is long and time is short?
Encore.org founder and CEO Marc Freedman joins us to answer these questions and more with a poignant and unique perspective contained in his book How to Live Forever: The Enduring Power of Connecting the Generations.
He meets onstage with Eric Liu, CEO of Citizen University and executive director of the Aspen Institute Citizenship and American Identity Program. Together they explore our drive for longevity and the perils of age segregation, sharing his discussions with social innovators from across the globe about bringing the generations together for mutual benefit. Freedman finds wisdom in stories from young and old, featuring ordinary people and icons like jazz great Clark Terry and basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Join Freedman and Liu for a deeply personal call to find fulfillment and happiness in our longer lives by connecting with the next generation and forging a legacy of love that lives beyond us.
