Make a Donation

Give the gift of community.

Since 1980, friends and neighbors have been coming together to support and build the community we call home. When we work together, we make the world a little better. We hope you’ll consider making a donation in support of the Phinney Neighborhood Association that keeps our community thriving.

Your support helps the PNA maintain our current programs while expanding and growing our programs for the future. Thank you for making a donation and supporting the work we do.

Workplace Giving

Did you know that many employers will match your donation or volunteer hours to support the PNA? It’s a great way to double your impact and boost our work in the community! Click Give Now to learn more.

A workplace giving or employer match program enables you to support the PNA even more through your employer. This can happen in many different ways. The most common options include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Your employer matches your monetary donations
  • Your employer matches your volunteer hours financially (individuals and/or teams)
  • You deduct the donation from your paycheck (monthly, quarterly, bi-annually)
  • Your employer matches your payroll deductions

How does workplace giving benefit you?

  • Your workplace or employee donations are tax-deductible.
  • Payroll deductions spread your contribution out over a longer period of time, thereby making your household budgeting easier.
  • When your employer matches your contribution, the impact of your gift is increased, maybe even doubled!
  • A little side note: you can start by simply having your employer match your membership donation to the PNA!

How do you set this up?

That depends! We would love to simply give you a link that could register you for workplace giving at any employer. However, every company has a different system and program offerings. What they all have in common is that the employee is in the driver’s seat when it comes to establishing and maintaining their participation in their employer’s program(s).

Here are some good places to start looking to see if you can double your impact with workplace giving and employer matching:

  • Start with your HR department and check if the company engages in workplace giving/donation matching. If you work in a big corporation, you might also look for “Corporate Citizenship” or “Community Engagement” on your employer’s website (this includes local, state, and federal government employers).
  • If you set up the payroll deduction, remember to ask for the employer match.
  • If you make a donation or join the PNA with a membership, complete the paperwork or the online form for your employer.

Leave A Legacy

Remembering the PNA in your will or trust is one of the most enduring statements you can make about your belief in our programs and commitment to the PhinneyWood community we serve. The support you have offered during your lifetime can continue for years to come.

It’s tempting to put planning on hold but here’s the thing…life doesn’t wait. Loose ends can lead to future stress and unintended decisions. Have you ever considered making a planned gift? A planned gift is any gift, made in lifetime or at death as part of your overall financial and/or estate planning. It’s a powerful way to make a gift to the PNA that continues positively impacting our programs and community, while also realizing tax benefits for your kindness. You can give cash, securities, or other assets which could be set up at a specific timeframe or made in a will.

There are several ways you and your family can be mindful when creating a Qualified Charitable Distribution or Estate Plan that gives you the opportunity to record your values and make sure your wishes are followed.
