Spotlighting local community organizations
Phinney’s Blue Building Community Spotlight is a physcial space giving intentional visibility to a rotating collection of community organizations who complitment the PNA’s mission and values. We welcome our Phinney Center visitors to experience innovative storytelling that enlights and inspires action.
The program is designed to:
- Foster community connection with other organizations in our neighborhood
- Increase visibility for underrepresented voices
- Celebrate cultural months and highlight the diversity of our community
- Share stories you may not otherwise hear and nurture a sense of belonging

Native Youth Olympics
The Native Youth Olympics (NYO Games) is an annual cultural and sporting event in Alaska that features traditional Indigenous games rooted in Arctic survival skills.
The Freedom Project
The Freedom Project is a Black-led nonprofit based in Washington State that works with individuals impacted by incarceration—especially Black, Indigenous, and communities of color—providing trauma‑informed, peer-led support to help them heal, secure housing, and rebuild their lives while working to dismantle systems of oppression.
