Whittier Kids School-Age Program
Whittier Kids offers onsite before and after school care at Whittier Elementary. Our program is dedicated to nurturing the social, emotional and educational growth and development of school-age children in a caring and self-esteem building environment.

Monday-Friday, 6:45 am to start of school
The before-school program offers children a safe and relaxed atmosphere in which to successfully start their days. The child-centered and child-directed curriculum is designed to meet the special needs and interests of the individual children. Daily activities provide choices for children to participate in active and quiet projects and games.

Monday-Friday, end of school to 6 pm
Children are offered a variety of recreational and educational opportunities after school such as arts and crafts, music, drama, cultural activities, and optional time for homework or tutoring. Children strengthen social skills by participating in fun-filled indoor and outdoor sports and games. Children participate in hands-on resource activities such as art and science projects.

All Day Programs
During Winter, Mid-Winter, Spring & Summer Breaks
Monday-Friday, 6:45 am to 6 pm
Children enjoy social, recreational, and educational opportunities that include a variety of fun-filled choice enrichment activities as well as daily field trip options. The curriculum is designed to maximize the self-expression, creativity, and problem-solving ability of each child. The teachers design a program that is both meaningful and interesting, based on the expressed interests of the children.
