For 40 years, the Phinney Neighborhood Association (PNA) has been a strong presence in Northwest Seattle. We build, engage, and support our diverse community; we connect neighbors and foster civic engagement. We turn strangers into neighbors and neighbors into friends.
Here are some ways you can get involved and support our community this season and beyond.
Support the PNA
The PNA is the hub of community for northwest Seattle. We offer programs and services for seniors, kids, and people of all ages.
We provide free meals to those who need them, operate the local senior center, help elders age at home, provide licensed childcare, host preschool co-ops, run a tool lending library, and put on many events to connect neighbors (when it’s not a pandemic).
Community (virtual) Giving Tree
Each year, the PNA partners with local organizations to gather gifts for children and adults who otherwise may not have much for the holidays. The Giving Tree is an annual presence at Winter Festival. Since we are not meeting in person, the tree has gone virtual as well! If you’d like to participate, go to the Giving Tree page and “pick up a tag.”
Support Local Small Business
The live Winter Festival event brings four to five thousand visitors to the neighborhood and many businesses get a boost that weekend. Support our local small business economy and pick up a little extra stocking stuffer or something for yourself.
Shop these PhinneyWood businesses for gift cards, food delivery, merchandise, and services.
Winter Festival Quilt Giveaway
Every year, StashBusters makes a quilt for the PNA to raffle off. By law, we can’t hold a raffle online, but we decided to do a giveaway instead (no purchase necessary), to keep the spirit of the Winter Festival event.
We drew the winner from the online entries by random number generator at 5 pm on Sunday. Congratulations to Carla H!
